Welcome to Kriya Timer ("App", "we", "our", or "us"). Kriya Timer is a meditation timing application that allows users to create, save, and reuse customizable templates for different meditation and Kriya cycles. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the information we handle.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information. By using Kriya Timer, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

When you use Kriya Timer, you may provide:

Kriya Timer is designed with minimal data collection in mind. We do not collect:

4. Meditation Templates & Local Storage
Kriya Timer is primarily a local-first application. Your meditation cycle templates — including custom Kriya sequences, and repetition counts — are stored directly on your device by default.
If you enable optional cloud backup or sync features:
• Your template data is securely transmitted and stored on our servers
• You can delete your synced data at any time from within the app settings
Templates created offline remain entirely on your device and are not transmitted unless you explicitly choose to sync or share them.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App, including:
• Cloud storage providers (for template sync, if enabled)
• Analytics services (aggregated, anonymized usage data only)
• Crash reporting tools to diagnose technical issues
These providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Kriya Timer and its users.

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
• Local template data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App

• Cloud-stored template data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
• Account access is protected by secure authentication mechanisms

No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
